Untold Living calls for a new approach for “last-time buyers” to help tackle the housing crisis

With housing set to be a key battleground in the upcoming general election, the question of how to solve the housing crisis is front of everyone’s mind. But with the focus on how to support first time buyers, the opportunities held by ‘last-time buyers’ are flying under the radar, argues Russell Jewell, CEO at Untold Living.

Writing for The Mail Online, Russell said: “The truth of the matter is that there is already a huge surplus of living space in the UK. When we consider this alongside the fact that three million older people actively want to ‘right-size’ into more appropriately-sized homes, an opportunity to unlock millions of unused bedrooms for first-time buyers becomes crystal clear.”
