Is Liverpool Street’s new BOXHALL City indicative of the changing face of the City?

We have been working closely with the BOXPARK team for the launch of their new big sister concept, which breathes new life into the historic Metropolitan Arcade and adds 14 new kitchens and 2 new bars to the City of London’s growing F&B scene.

The BOXHALL brand moves away from the traditional shipping container design and events programme synonymous with BOXPARK, and more towards a food-focused offering, which includes a chef-led kitchen that will see a rotating roster of renowned industry figures through the year. Ms Joyce K is the first resident chef, and will be followed by James Cochran later in the year.

There has been a positive response to the new venture, which is being praised for bringing something new to the capital. MyLondon covered the news with the headline, “London is bored of 2013 hipster pop-ups – the new Boxpark [sic] Liverpool Street is a breath of fresh air”.

From the interior design, to the kitchen line-up and the weekend live music programme, the destination has seamlessly blended the refinement of the City with the creative energy of East London.

Congratulations to the BOXPARK team for a hugely successful launch, we’ve no doubt BOXHALL City will be a favourite for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks for generations to come.

This news was also covered in Metro, Secret London, The Standard, Time Out, City AMand the Londonist, and has quickly become foodie influencers’ new haunt.
