Kingston International Film Festival launches to provide support for independent film

Last month saw the press launch for The Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) in South London, which aims to inspire positive change within the British independent film industry.

In an exclusive interview in The Guardian, Festival patron and BAFTA award-winning Harry Potter and Four Weddings and a Funeral director, Mike Newell, called for more support to allow the industry to take more risks.

KIFF will be another major step in Kingston’s cultural-led resurgence which will also see new film venues and spaces opening across the town centre, including a new Curzon cinema.
